Who we are
The Web Page is the trading name of James Bevan, a sole trader based at Fieldgate, Southdean Drive, Bognor Regis, PO22 7SX, England. We're responsible for the personal information described in this policy. For anything about your information, email [email protected].
If you use our website builder at app.thewebpage.co.uk, the builder's own privacy page explains how we look after your account and your website's enquiries.
What we collect
- When you fill in our contact form, your name, email address, phone number if you give it, the service you're interested in and your message.
- When you email us, your email address and whatever you choose to include.
- If you become a client, the details we need to carry out and invoice the work, such as your business details and the content for your website. Card payments are handled by Stripe, and we never see your full card details.
Why we use it
We use your information to reply to your enquiry, to prepare a quote, to carry out work you've asked us to do and to keep the business records the law requires. We rely on our legitimate interest in answering the people who contact us, on the contract between us once you become a client, and on our legal duty to keep financial records.
We don't sell your information, and we don't send you marketing unless you've asked for it.
Visitor statistics and security
We count visits to our website with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and doesn't identify you. Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a real person is sending it rather than a spam robot. Like every website, our servers also keep short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses, to keep the website secure and working.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted companies to run our website and our business. Each one only uses your information to provide its service to us.
- Brevo, which delivers the emails sent from our contact form.
- Cloudflare, which delivers and protects our website, counts visits and checks the contact form for spam.
- Our hosting provider, whose servers are in the United Kingdom.
- Stripe, which handles card payments for clients.
Some of these companies may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they're required to protect it to the standard UK law expects. We don't share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
If you get in touch but don't go ahead, we keep your enquiry for up to two years so we can pick up where we left off if you come back, then delete it. If you become a client, we keep your details for as long as we work together, and we keep invoices and billing records for six years because the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask for a copy, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Just email [email protected] and we'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, although we'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Our cookie policy and terms explain the rest of how our website works.
